I just came over here from crackberry.com (userid djsnoopygirl) and I hope you people have some ideas for me.

I've been a Blackberry user for about 6 years now and am just TRYING to switch over to mytouch 4g from BB Bold (9780).

After wasting nearly two hours on the phone with T-Mobile (for which they gave me a $10 credit, whoopee) it has been determined that the "software" on the mytouch doesn't support my totally normal pop3 email server.

I hate to return the phone but if I can't get my regular WORK email to function then it doesn't do me any good. Frankly, I wanted an iphone but with a family plan and 3 lines T-Mobile works out SO much cheaper it is ridiculous.

I know I'm a n00b but I promise I am not completely new to the world of online help forums and such and will respond and appreciate any new information!

Thanks!

did you get the server settings from your IT department? and did you make sure that android is supported by your servers? if it's POP it should be supported.

The outgoing mail can be SMTP or IMAP, try both see which one is working.
i.e. android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com or android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
I hope this helps.
