How can I get rid of a virus on my HTC One?

HTC One Virus

Not sure if this is the right place to put this question but here it goes.

My phone seems to have some sort of virus as every 10 minutes or so I will be randomly taken to the app store for some random app such as uber or the internet to some spammy competition site. The problem is that my antivirus app hasn't detected anything and neither has the adware detector. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem? Any help would be much appreciated

I use Bitdefender for Android and it picked up on a trojan in the Google Play Store right away. I would suggest you buy Bitdefender for Android if you don't already have that. I'm thinking to get rid of the virus now, though, you may need to do a factory reset.
