Reoccurring notification sounds

My phone has gone mad. The notification sounds is going off for Gmail every few seconds till I clear it. When another email comes in it starts again until I clear it. Anyone know how to fix this issue??

Open Gmail, tap the hamburger menu at top left, tap Settings, tap your GMail account, tap Inbox sound & vibrate. Make sure "Notify for every message" is unchecked.

That box is unchecked. I have looked everywhere and can't find a solution. Just started yesterday.

Just started yesterday.

What did you do yesterday? Install any new apps? Change any system settings?
If you boot into Safe Mode does the problem still occur? (Gmail should continue to work in Safe Mode since it's a built-in app, and all 3rd party apps should be disabled.)

I found it. In Settings under accessibility is a setting called notification reminder and it was set to remind me every 15 seconds! Lol Shut that off and no problem now. Don't know where that came from but who would want that?
