Do we think Cyanogen will ever release CM11 for this phone? Or has this model already passed its prime? Frustrating how quickly this seems to happen.

There are plenty of 4.4 ROMs for the HTC One. It is far from dead. What version of the HTC One do you have?

I dont know , im only using it as a example.

I don't have sprint, I have Verizon - but either way, there's no *stable* version of CM11 available. I don't just want any kitkat rom (I have one, in fact, installed already). I want Cyanogen Mod 11. It's not available for Sprint or Verizon versions. There's nightlies, but I'm not interested in that - I want a daily driver.

If knew all this already why are you asking and wasting our time replying? And yes there is a Sprint version.

Nightlies can be daily drivers, if not, better then daily drivers. Just make a backup in recovery and try one out. If you don't like it, you can just revert to your backup. Stable doesn't necessarily mean better. Always remember to do a factory reset wipe in recovery (not a full one so your sd card doesn't get wiped).

Also, CM11 for Verizon HTC One: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526313

Sorry to waste your time, but no idea what you're talking about. I've been waiting for a stable version of CM11. There is none (for Verizon or Sprint) yet. My question is, why not? And, will there be?

There's a CM 11 snapshot currently available for the Verizon M7. Snapshots have been tested so it should be fully functional. And there are other AOSP ROMs that are better than CM.

Like I stated above, some nightly's are very stable. Make a backup of your current setup in recovery and just try one to see how it goes. Worst case scenario, you just go back to your backup. Do you have S-OFF?
