If I'm reading it right, it's for completely unrooted GB Dincs, to get root and S-OFF. I'm eligible for an upgrade on Dec 5, so I might wait until then to try it. That way if I brick my Dinc I at least can go get something else.

I did this yesterday and it worked fine. I followed the second option and now I'm back on CM7. So much better than the mess that was the official update.

how did you root it, this sucks. I tried rooting it several times on the wifes phone and no luck at all! revoked3 just keeps saying firmware too new. even with the link above no luck. Can you guys help me at all?

I'm trying this now and the part that I'm stuck at is the MD5summer. Every time I use it to get the md5 numbers, I get errors. Is this a step I can skip?

You can skip it but if the file is corrupt it will not work.

SO I AM HERE........

downgrade with adb. make sure your phone is charged to 100% before starting.
-on windows 7,click the start bubble and type "command" in the search box. this should open a small black command window. from this point forward,all code will be in bold so you know what lines to copy and paste(or type,if you really want to type them all in). additional comments will be blue,and should not be copy/pasted. please note that each line is one command. copy/paste it into the prompt in your command window,and push enter. one line at a time.

at the end of the post,is a copy of my session,to show what the outputs of the entered lines should look like. hopefully,its a little less scary when you know that youre getting the right responses to the things you enter.

-make sure phone is plugged in and usb debugging checked on,in charge only mode

-at the promt in your command window:

cd c:\mini-adb_inc this should change your command promt to "mini-adb_inc",indicating youre using that directory.
adb devices this should output your phones serial number,indicating its recognized


I am stuck here..... my DINC doesnt talk back. Not getting my serial number. Have tried turning bugging on and off. Tried playing with my device manager. Tried a different USB cable.

Anybody have any ideas?

Okay... update..... Finally got my DINC to talk back and give me its serial number so I could proceed.


Keeping fingers crossed...... have the PB31IMG running....... Update is in progress as I type.

when i click on the unrevoked 3.22 download it doesnt load, then i click the mirror and try to download it from there but it says the user is out of bandwidth so unless anybody else has a way to get the file or something im not goin to be able to root my DInc, never rooted before and its s-on. help please!!!

You do not need the mini_adb because all it's doing is checking the MD5 and setting up a Rage Against the Cage exploit that Unrevoked3 does not need for Froyo (Unrevoked 2 did): here are links to the other files:

Be sure to check the MD5 before flashing!!!
