how to unroot 2.2 and change clockworkmod?

I know that I read a post in the last few days for help with applying the 2.2.1 update, my problem is I can't find the post that showed how to unroot. I tried the
PB31IMG.zip but when I apply it in recovery it tells me installation aborted file PB31IMG.zip(bad), and I am stuck, I moved the file to the root directory of my sd card.

I think the post was from Upstreammiami but not positive.

u need to load PB31IMG.zip in hboot not in recovery. load up hboot by powering off then holder vol down and the power button untill you get to hboot then press vol up to update ... YOU NEED S-off

Best Part is that after 3 days of being an idiot and doing it wrong, I still don't have the update, I am still sitting at 2.2 so my IT department won't provision my mobile user status. So screw em I will be re-rooting tonight.
