Big clock on lockscreen?

Is there any way when listening to a podcast to not have the album art take over the lockscreen? And i would really like a large clock on the lockscreen. A typical use case for this would be when I am running with my dog I will pull my phone out to see the time but the album art of the current podcast I am listening to takes over the screen and the only clock I have is very small in the top right corner of the screen.

Not sure how the LG3 works and if there's an option for the Lockscreen to disable this, but you can always use a 3rd party lockscreen, like WidgetLocker. That way you can add your own widgets and make your lockscreen, essentially, an extra homescreen.
