android update...help

On Boost. Currently running 5.0.x.....got notification for an Android update.
Is this an update to Marshmallow? And is it wise to go through with? I've heard it can brick the G3. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Supposedly is to update to "M" Marshmallow : If is wise to install it
Yes it's and regarding that could brick your S3 - I guess you've
to take the risk or Stay with 5.0.x..the decision is yours

Welcome to Android Central! Does the update screen tell you how big the update is? A major system update will usually be at least 500 MB or so.

Just under 70 meg

O Actually is lower the last Marshmallow update in my SGs7
it was 288 MB's and once you start the download it will
display. What's included on it so there's No reason to
panic..Go for with the installation and reportResult

Yeah, that just sounds like a security and bugfix update to me.

I've got a g3 and I rooted it and put 7.1 and it's running great... My point is I wouldn't worry too much about upgrading sometimes it helps a lot.
