Easy SD card question

I'm trying to un-bloat my phone, delete a bunch of unused apps and stuff, and I noticed when I mount my phone to the computer and do the file explorer I have an SD card folder within my SD card that has all of my data duplicated - can I get rid of that? It took me a couple of tries to copy over all of my stuff when I upgraded my SD card (it was the first time) so I'm thinking this extra folder may be on there in error, but don't want to delete it and find out down the road I needed it for some obscure but incredibly important function.

You can delete anything you want from the SD card. Anything needed will be repopulated.
