Check for ANY app authorized to do PUSH Notifications (ESPECIALLY Twitter, YouTube, Facebook & news media apps) If notifications are turned on then TURN THEM OFF!! I did this & haven't had any issues since 😊 Hope this helps 😊

ADDENDUM - Got it & have had it for a few weeks now. So far so good (Though games & some apps don't allow the task bar to come up when in full screen but that's more of an issue of app & game development than it is with the tablet itself) BP

Also try boosting the memory & cleaning out all the junk it has collected & accumulated The NVIDIA Shield Tablet may be built with gaming in mind but it's still prone to stuff that make it act like any other tablet on the market… Cheers 😀
