Nocturnal Xplod is great! If you want to keep MHL yet get the benefit of ROM's features, I would recommend installing mwalt's kernel. Been using that for the last couple of weeks and it is a great combo!

Actually I have used MHL on friends' TVs to stream NFL Sunday ticket. Comes in handy if you aren't at home. Since one is paying for HBO then I don't know why it would matter to them whether or not you were watching it on a bigger screen using HDMI or not...jmho...

Sorry... I seriously didn't get it. I am capable of reading and what I got out of your post is that as many people as possible should be on the most current Android platform. However, there is so much more to it than that. For example, certain Android devices just aren't capable to handle...

Lol, if you think rooting the NS4G is hard...try it on the EVO 3D! Anyway, I had followed the guide posted here back in October and it was relatively painless to unlock the bootloader and root. Good luck! :)

Actually I don't get it. Maybe I am a bit off here but my NS4G had Google Wallet already...before I rooted and before ICS... Are you referring to other Android devices and the fact that perhaps there should be a standard (kind of like the A-word company) where everyone is on the same platform??

Probably true. What is funny is that once we all get ICS, we'll be wanting Jellybean! ;) Always a "next big thing" down the pike. I am rooted and alternate between different ROMs on all of my phones so while it will be cool to see the "official" version, I'm not holding my breath.
