If screen brightness is an issue, using car mode might help, since it drops the brightness of the screen way down (without turning it off) while you aren't touching the phone

Yep, just reconfirmed. nothing happens when I get a text or email. Everything's set like normal and the checkbox to allow active (dynamic now, i guess) notifications in the accessibility settings menu is still on, so I'm at a total loss here.

Updated the app, allowed everything, and the screen is still black the LED flashes when i get an email, but the screen does nothing.

i successfully used the sync manager ONCE. after that, it keeps crashing on me and won't stay open for long enough to even discover all of my new music. uninstalling/reinstalling had no effect. it's a shame, it really looked like this was going to be the solution to my problem...

I'm having issues with the g+ notifications... I have notifications turned on because i want them to appear in the task bar, but the ringer set to silent and vibrate off... in this configuration, every time i get a notification, it's accompanied by a chime sound. The odd thing is that i can't...

Is there a way to easily move files between the amazon cloud (not just the music player or docs, the actual cloud drive for other file types) and the kindle fire? You know, to use it like a cloud dropbox... which is what it should be, I think...
