I know my note3, I have activated the sim card lock, in security settings. No other sim card will work in it unless I tell it to. Im on Verizon which is cdma, but has a sim to achieve 4g lte.

There's nowhere you can at least plug in a few times during the day? I wouldn't think that the usb port in your vehicle, would be as good as one that plugs into the cigarette lighter. They can put out up to 3 times the amperage. Weak battery? Bad charging cord?

Did you contact the service provider? Could be a bad sim. I have no idea about, having to use both sims. Could be the APN settings.
