Spigen & Diztronic have never let me down.

All reports say that the locked bootloader is the only difference.

If I'm in my car and I plug my phone into my AUX port (don't have BT) while charging it, it creates awkward placement for my phone because it'll be on a rotisserie of cabling.

I currently use an HTC One M8 and I think its size is perfect. The regular Pixel (in 128GB, because of lack of MicroSD) will fit the bill for me.

Has there ever been an unlocked model of a phone released in the USA that hasn't worked on AT&T? Seems like a no-brainer at this point. AT&T/T-Mo's strength in network is phone compatibility due to being fully GSM. Sprint/VZW suffer somewhat due to their legacy CDMA networks still being active.

VZW has done this with their variants of Motorola phones. However they did not gimp the Galaxy Nexus in the bootloader aspect. Locked bootloaders may be an intentional security measure on pre-release units to ensure that things stay safe. We won't know anything until someone buys a Pixel...

Google dared to make the camera lens flush with the body instead of letting it stick out. So it's already a superior upgrade to whatever Apple's been cranking out.

Hopefully it has some decent level of water resistance, or the gall of Google to sell this phone at iPhone prices will look silly

Re: will people really shell out $869 for a Pixel XL with 128gb? I take issue with Google pricing the Pixel XL right in line with the iPhone 7 Plus. They seriously went dollar-for-dollar in pricing it with Apple. They figure they can deliver an Apple-esque experience via Android with the phone...

I've put in a request with HTC Repair to replace a battery when I had the One M7. Expect to pay $100-150 for the effort.

It would have been best to stay rooted for the purpose of the new boot animation. Chances are, the boot animation being changed involves an SU command invoked during startup to ensure that the animation reliably stays in place. What is keeping you from reinstalling KingRoot on your phone...

My HTC One M8 is getting a little long in the tooth. I'd like to have the best possible Android experience so a Nexus 6P would be wonderful!
