Got my Verizon 4.1.2 update on Monday.

Most unfortunate. It might be a defective card, or also the contacts are flaky. Try rubbing the contacts VERY gently with a rubber pencil eraser...Or, use a good liquid contact cleaner. When this doesn't work for me (once on a different device) I get a new SD card and that has worked.

Well, it was a shot in the dark. But, we all deserve a little good luck. Hope it turns out to be a permanent fix.

Yes. It is an excellent buy. There is a Netflix app so no problem watching Netflix (or YouTube for that matter).

Just wanted to mention that I got this over-the-air update to Jelly Bean recently. Now I have Google Now on all my devices (phone--Razr HD Maxx and two tablets-other one is a Nexus 7). I am in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA.

I've had minor problems with a similar situation with the Tab 2 10.1. They have been resolved by powering off, then back on and waiting for it to reaccumulate the directory. Also, maybe the contacts on the card need cleaning. On past devices with intermittent problems with the microSD card...

I got the email today,too. It says the upgrade to 4G will be free. That's a real relief. I wouldn't want to pay twice. For it.

Ditto here. I have mine set to 3G only and the battery lasts as well as my Blackberry Storm 2's did. I use the "LTE OnOff" app to toggle between 3G and 4G.

I agree. I am finding it laggy and slow to download. Viewing at a readable size is awkward. Some pages remained fuzzy even when magnified. Not sure I will stick with it although selection is awesome.
