Swollen Battery on Samsung Galaxy Nook demo unit @ Barnes & Noble

Hey everyone, I was at Barnes & Noble the other night and noticed something interesting with one of their Samsung Galaxy Nook devices... This is the first time I had ever seen a swollen battery, but it had caused the screen to nearly be pushed off of the device. Sorry if some of the pics don't show the best angle, hopefully the video helps. Interesting, I thought.

I haven't seen it in person but I have seen it many times online.

I see them sometimes due to overheat or overcharged, however the battery still works.
