Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I just received my SteelConnect M from their Kickstarter and posted my first impressions over on sister site, Connectedly HERE.

Nice review. I'm so jealous i have a band and a watch removal kit waiting. Once it shipped how long did it take to get to you? I have other watches i have been wearing too keep from getting the cracking issue until i get my adapter.

I don't have an exact shipping time as I did not receive tracking information for my Kickstarter reward. Sadly my local post office held my package and had me come in and sign for it... Still not sure what that was all about? So, that whole scenario added a few days onto the process. Otherwise, everything seemed to go as smoothly as could be expected being it was a Kickstarter project and those quite often get delayed.

What is the difference between the 180 and 225?

Rocking the Note 4
Basically the shape of the adapter itself... The 180 appears to be a bit more straight (see pic below)

And the 225 is actually "stepped" so the adapter exits and clears the Moto 360 housing and then bends towards your wrist (see a 225 pic below). Obviously, manufacturing and crafting the angled 225 adapter is quite a bit more challenging, which is probably why it wears the larger price tag.

I considered getting both to better show the difference and see which I liked better, however I wasn't sure I was even going to like it. Add to that the cost of these adapters and the fact that I have rather thin / small wrists and I felt the 225 would work better for me. After a full day's use wearing it, I'm liking it! It's comfortable, fits perfectly and doesn't bind up or bite into my wrist (like I feared).

Whichever one you pick, keep in mind that both of these are made from stainless steel. A material that will most likely hold up to some punishment and should allow you to experiment with many different watch bands.

It's all about geometry. 180 degrees within a circle is a straight line. A 225 degree angle would be a straight line, plus another 45 degrees, so the bend in the adapter is 45 degrees.

I want this and I would like to get a resin g shock band to put on my watch. Think it would look great and I love that material way better than silicone. I wish Motorola would make that type of sport watch band. Leather and steel don't make for good running/fitness watches.

As mentioned earlier here is my update. I finally received the adapter this Monday. For the most part I feel this will keep the back from cracking. I have the 180 version. I only wish the black on the adapter match more closely to the 360 metal rim. Here are some pics.

Ordered 2/24/2015. Shipped 3/24/2015. If I'm reading tracking right, looks like it left Malaysia on 3/25/2015 for New York, NY USA. Since then, tracking just shows origin post is preparing shipment and that date moves back every day. Item "Not Found" on USPS tracking tool.

So, you're saying your's shipped out on 3/2 and was finally delivered on 3/30?

I was part of their Kickstarter and mine did not come with a tool / spring bar remover, however I notice they do sell those on their site HERE .

I already had a watch repair kit I purchased for cheap on eBay and just used that.

Here is what came from my Kickstarter... A M*225 and M Suit:

That is correct. Their website says a couple of weeks for shipment to the US. But for me out took almost a month.
