How do I stop my Moto E from shutting off when I barely touch the power button?

How to stop my Moto E from shutting off when I barely touch the power button

When I press the power button to turn on my phone sometimes the shut off pop up comes up if I wait it shuts off in 2-5 seconds and if I press any other button it shuts off immediately. This happens really often 7-12 times a day.

Welcome to the forums. If you hit back with the power off box showing, does that stop it?

No the power button couldn't stop it

I would contact Motorola for a warranty replacement. My moto e doesn't do this.
