Trade-Up Program Change

Hmm, so I was about to go online and process the trade-up stuff through Motorola, which with a Verizon phone (as of 2 days ago) involved sending the old phone directly back to Motorola and getting a Visa gift card in the mail.

Today, it tells me I take the phone directly to a Verizon store for Verizon credit. Problem is, I bought on Motomaker and not through VZW. I'm about to start making some calls to see what my options are, but does anyone have any insight on this change?

Take the old phone and Moto X with proof of purchase to Verizon. Shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, Verizon chat said I could bring it in and it would be preferred if I could do it before my first billing cycle closes.
