Verizon Moto X 2014 No data while one phone?

Why can't i use my internet while im on a phone call? is there a setting i need to change? or is this phone not capable. Thanks

There are numerous threads on this. The new Motorola's as well as most likely all future smartphones on Verizon will only support voice and mobile data at the same time when using VoLTE. Currently VoLTE is not enabled on the new Moto X but there is supposed to be an update to enable this in the next few weeks. Data will work over WiFi if that helps.

but my moto x 2013 supported this. did they seriously back track?

Check the other threads. This has been gone over a bunch of times. And it's Verizon's fault.

This blows my mind. I can't even remember when i wasnt able to do this. They better fix it stat!

Has to do with volte and radio hardware. All future Verizon phones will only be able to only use voice+data while on a volte call.

Up until now, Android phones have been able to use voice+data at any time.
