hyperlinks stopped working with newest update

I have a Droid Turbo 2, and I downloaded and installed the newest update yesterday. Now none of the hyperlinks that come in emails work. If there is an actual Amazon button, that works, but nothing that links to Amazon or any other website. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the email program, and I've also powered off and back on, but neither of these obvious things helped. I also spent about an hour with the online chat help guy from Verizon, and he had no further ideas except to reset the phone to the original factory settings. Seems like the default response to me, and I have no wish to do so until I've exhausted every other idea.
