My Droid Turbo Screen Won't Shut Off

[AC Question]

Having an issue with the screen not shutting off after the 1 min setting. It will just stay on until I manually turn it off.

Started about a month ago then the issue went away in an hour or two, only to resurface yesterday.
Thinking that this may have something to do about it, but not sure?

I've always had the google search bar disabled that normally appears at the top of the screen, but when this problem is occuring like it is now, it will briefly flash across the top of the screen for about a half second.
No real pattern to it. Sometimes it will appear every 20secs or so, then just quit.
I did a factory reset earlier today and that seemed to fix it, but as I was getting the phone set back it, it began once again.
Not sure what to do from this point?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone rooted, or are you using a 3rd party launcher? I'm not sure about the Turbo, but on most phones, you can't remove the Google Search bar on the stock launcher.
