Want to root my phone but no USB access or won't power up.

Hi ACers...

Verizon pushed the latest Droid X update and now my phone doesn't want to boot/power up. I've tried the battery pull, replace with another battery (I have the standard and extended battery), reseat the SD card fixes. I am also not able to access the phone via USB.

Is there to root my phone if it does not power up or I'm not able to access it with USB? If not, any other suggestions on how to restore my old by trusty Droid X.

Well it sounds like you accepted, downloaded, and installed an update via VZW and then....
did it attempt to re-boot on it's own after installing?
What update was it exactly? .602/.605/.621?
Have you been able to boot it up to any kind of visual screen what-so-ever yet?

@jerseyboy357 My phone was a Droid X with stock VZW software (ie never was rooted or flashed) It was the .621 update that 'broke' it. The screen was always blank and gave no indication if there was anything going on. As a last resort, I was going try to root it and flash it with a different ROM.

My only recourse was to upgrade so I bought myself a Razr Maxx.
