No pattern lock?

Hi all im having some issues on my DX, I jsut tried to add a pattern lock onto my lock screen but it didn't seem to take. I tried it several times I went into settings>loaction and security>setup screen lock>Pattern then I set the pattern successfully and when I put the phone to sleep and woke it up I only have the slider bar. Anyone know what the issue is or is this happening to anyone else? I know that I used to be able to have a pattern lock, I got the phone at release and I was able to set it up then but I cant now for some reason.

You likely need to shorten the length of the security lock timer. I think the default is 20 minutes. You can set it to lock as soon as the screen is off.

No issues with my pattern lock. As stated above are you giving the phone time for patternlock to activate?
