Question Pattern lock problem

So I have a samsung galaxy grand prime plus and I had a pattern on for long now. When I woke up this morning and I must swipe up and do the pattern but when I swiped up the dots weren't there. Its just shows my wallpaper . Anyway to fix this problem

Have you rebooted?

Have you tried rebooting the device? Does that issue persist? What about starting up your device into Safe Mode?

To reboot, simply remove the battery, wait a couple of seconds, put it back, and then power it on again.

You've probably heard this, but it's highly advisable to upgrade to a more modern phone. That phone is 10 years old, and presumably stuck on Lollipop. This means it's 9 full Android versions behind, which means a lot of security flaws haven't been patched. In addition, more and more apps probably will no longer run on it.
