Gingerbread for the X2?

Doesn't seem as though the community is interested in answering my 2 simple questions, maybe one of the mods can answer my questions!!!! Can 596 be loaded on a stock X2, and power/home does not seem to enter recovery as my X did. Thanks

For one you are asking a question about a DX2 on a DX forum.... And I got a feeling this mistake may come up a bit with the DX2 being released and looks alike but I would say that due to the few hardware differences the update wont work on a DX2... You can try AT YOUR OWN RISK but I do not think anyone but maybe developer can verify if this will work or brick device..

i would bet anything that the .596 update will not work on the dx2. and if home and power doesnt open stock recovery on the x2, im not sure what would.

Thanks for your replies, gave my X which was running 588 to my wife and upgraded to the X2. What an improvement, it's a polished X!!! Guess I'm waiting for the OTA unless someone else can help. Thanks again just miss my GB.

for recovery due to lack of camera button I believe the volume and power button work recovery. there was a GB leak we had that was like that. as for running on X2 not sure because of tegra2 chip.

Different processor, different screen rez, no camera button. Although the manufacturer is the same, the DX2 is a different phone.
