I have the same thing.
I get a email from Jan 31, 1969.
Not all just 1 day, and when I look at the email on my PC its the correct time.
This is happening with a email off of my POP3 account.
Time, and Date is correctly showing on my PC, and the setting date and time are set to automatic.

The other emails I get before or after are correctly dated.

Strange.

Same thing happened to me a couple of times. I never had an issue with the calendar (knock on wood) but occasionally I'll get an email dated 1969. Weird!

Fixed

Go into your calendar. Click the button below your screen with the 4 dashes. Then click on more. Then click on "my calendars". It will show the calendars you have. Ensure your gmail account has a green check mark next to it. This fixed it for me. (posted with my iPhone).

I'm not an expert on this by any means, but I remember reading in another forum that some software uses "unix time," for coding. See here:

Unix time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basically, it measures time in seconds elapsed from Jan 1, 1970. So if the software glitches up for some reason, it defaults to "0" and shows 1969.

Anyway, somebody smarter than me might come along and explain it better, I'm just re hashing what I read.

You need to check your google online first. Then you need to open calander up to 2010, then push the home button (not the back button). The next time you open the calander, you should be on 2010, "ot the 1969 screen. I had the same problem and I was in a loop because I was always going back to my home screen using the back button.
