Worst Battery Life in Any Phone that I've Ever Had!

This phone has THE WORST battery life of any phone that I've ever had. Even if I read an email, I can see the battery percent drop almost every minute. I've never seen anything even remotely as bad as this. I wife has an iPhone 6 and we play videos on it for 20-30 minutes at a time, and the battery hardly drops. I haven't tried videos yet on this phone, but I'm guessing I would go from 100-20% in a matter of 15 minutes of screen on time.

I've turned off NFC, auto wifi. I have auto brighness on for the screen, and I turned off a few other automatic things. I do NOT have twitter or facebook running in the background. I have to say that I do NOT buy the story that people are using this phone all day with one battery. I doubt it would even make it to the end of an average work day. I think people might be exaggerating if they're claiming regular battery life with this phone.

I simply do NOT understand how anyone with this phone is not just utterly disappointed with this pathetic battery. I think I might still be within my return period...I think I might return it due to the battery, and the battery alone. I do not understand Samsung's failure here.

When did you get the device? If less than a week, it still might be in the break in period where the battery still needs a few more charges to get in the swing of things.

Run SystemPanelLite to see what's really running. Force stop (long press, then Process Control Panel) things that shouldn't be running. You could have a rogue app in there.

(People who claim 8-10 hours of heavy use on a single charge are usually running the battery from 100% down to 5% or so to get that - and then hey wonder why the battery won't hold a charge in 4 months. Nothing the manufacturers can do about chemistry, so if you let the battery drop to less than 40% charge, you're asking for a battery replacement sooner than you should need one. Gel cells would be better, but no one wants to carry that kind of weight around. [A gel cell battery with the same power as a 2000mAh lithium battery would weigh about a pound.)

Not disagreeing with you, but I've never had to replace a battery or experienced one losing any performance. I never worry about when I'm charging it or how low it gets since, we'll the last 15 years. I think the battery worries about how low to discharge are way overrated. Would I recommend draining to 0% Everytime.... No, but I often plug mine in to charge when it reaches 10 or 20%....
