my galaxy mega 2 did not update to the 5.1.1 why?? and how can I fix it

It did all the update but when it restarted it still said 4.4.4.. please help

If the phone is rooted, you'll have to reflash a stock 4.4.4. Updates will stop on rooted phones. (Updating a phone that's been rooted, even if you unroot it, can brick the phone.)

Then wait 24 hours and try to update gain (Settings/General/About device/Software updates). Once you try an update, you're blocked for 24 hours to keep the servers from getting overloaded.
