Flip case magnets - any effect on credit cards?

I purchased a flip case that uses a magnet to keep it closed. It also has a slot for cards, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether the magnet in the case or in the phone will de-magnetize cards in the case slot.

unless the magnet does not touch the black strip or chip it should be fine
