I noticed it too and HATE it. I liked it better in the old spot if it must be there.

It was probably moved because of the new lock screen notifications..

I never understood why this bothers people so much. The text is pretty small and it's gone once you unlock. AT&T have theirs permanently in their status bar. So, it could be a lot worse.
How many people actually debadge their car when they buy it?
To me, I would rather get rid of that bright red Verizon splash screen at startup.
Just be glad there's no hideous Verizon logo on the front of the phone.
