Smart Switch Messages Issue

I cannot for the life of me figure out why SS is doing this. I have messages. Lots of messages to transfer and this is the last hoop to jump through before I can use my N7 for good.

Any ideas?

Did you try making the Samsung messaging the default on your old device?

I selected everything to transfer and don't have any messages, among other things I thought would be there.

Yep! I have no idea what's going on. Just made it my default again, and am waiting a few minutes before giving it another shot.

I saved the conversations I "need" to my SD card but I'm not sure how to go about recovering them to place them back into play.
