I have tried to change my HOUR icon on time to a different color, which worked on my original Note 7, the replacement reverts to white after I go through all the steps.IMG-20160923-WA0000.jpg
Anyone able to help or explain.

I just tried it on my replacement. Works perfectly.

I have to ask the obvious but stupid question.

You ARE hitting "Apply" after changing the color, and not just backing out, right?

I'm confused. In your pic the hour is blue. The minutes part is white. That particular clock the minutes stay white but you can change the hour colors. Sorry if I'm not answering your question correctly.

Yes only the hour can b changed to a few customised colours that are avaliable. Samsung doesnt allow the minutes to change colour at the moment but with upcoming updates in the near future this might b part of the deal. Who knows:)

😎 My SGs7 it shows the default "Clock style" as described for the above
repliers: Right now the PST in Canada is 11:45 PM so is displayed

This way :: 11:45 PM : Hour 11 white: Mins 45 blue: White-Mon
Oct 3: Battery icon white-72% : As mentioned for another

Member avoid -Tap on apply after the Clock style is selected
use instead the Return key and Restart the phone: G. Luck

😎 To Access "Clock styles" on AoD=Always on Display feature
I do it in My SGs7 this way: Pull-Down your notification panel

using middle fingers-Hehe! >If slides 'till half screen-Do it
again to View the entire-Group of icons >Find the AoD

icon >Long Press until display bunch of options >Then
Tap-Clock Styles >select your favorite and Press

returnKey >until get to HomeScreen: Turn
off-On phone to show new clock. G.Luck

This was the picture of my original Note 7, I have since received my safe Note 7 and I'm unable to change the color. I have gone through the steps to change the color to Red and in the process it did turn Red, but even after restart it reverts to White.

 Hi Robert: I'm understand it frustrates to change your-Clock colour
and doesn't get Saved. You've 2 Choices on this issue is up to you

1) Stay for awhile with this blue 10-hr That is cute man or Wait for a solution

2) Try a -Default reset- of your Phn settings. As mentioned before
I own a SGs7 to return my default settings..I follow this method.

Goto settings >Tap on "Reset & Backup" >Find 'Reset settings' and Tap on it
>>next Tap on [RESET SETTINGS] >Press Home-button..then Restart phone

Now proceed to Setup your Fav clock style..either use returnKey or Press
Home-button to get at the Home-Screen: Turn off/On phone..Did it works

I'm not using the big number, I'm using the first choice and just changed the clock numbers (hour and minutes) to green and they stuck, even on the screen I backed out too.
