Internal Storage and available RAM
Weird, my Skyrocket says it has 11.25 Total Space for USB Storage while my Infuse says it has 13.03GB. I thought it was supposed to have 16GB internal storage? I know the figure would be less, but that much less than the Infuse which also has 16GB internal storage?!?
And 784MB RAM.
I thought that was supposed to be 1.3GB RAM (less the standard chunk - but again this is a huge difference)?!? - 11-06-2011, 04:20 PM #2
Re: Internal Storage and available RAM
Its 1gb of RAM but part of it is reserved for the system. On Galaxy S its 512mb but you only get to use about 350mb.
Sounds like the partitions for the storage space have changed as well meaning you get less storage for yourself but more for the system. This is probably to make room for future updates like ICS which will need more room in the system partition. - 11-06-2011, 04:35 PM #3
Re: Internal Storage and available RAM
When I had the SGSII I believe the memory was partitioned. I think on the task manager storage in setting it has external SD card, Internal SD card and phone memory. Maybe part of the internal is partitioned off for system or apps?
My SR is still charging. Anyway to disable LTE if needed?Last edited by planoman; 11-16-2011 at 07:31 AM.
