    Default Wallpaper question

I just upgraded to the Skyrocket from the Captivate, and I love it. Only problem I've run into so far is I can't get a 960x800 wallpaper to install. It wants to take a vertical slice out of it. I can't resize to the full picture.

I have Android version 2.3.6. Is this problem associated with that?

    Thanks

As far as I know it is the same on all latest Samsung OS builds even on GS3. Idk why they decided to remove this feature...

I'm using a different launcher and Quickpic (from the market), and I can get landscape wallpapers. Quickpic by itself may be enough.

I think some of the custom roms have it working too if you're into that stuff.

Quickpic didn't work for me I'm guessing you have to be on a different launcher (or rom ) as well

D'oh! I guess it has to be a custom rom then. I'm on SkyICS 4.2E (ICS). It was also working on NexusMod 4.3 (GB).

Either that, or you'll have to roll back to 2.3.5.

I thought it had to do with Apple's patent fight with Samsung. So, a number of phones were "upgraded" to remove that feature.
