S3 phone problems. Phone keeps freezing and being unresponsive.

For the past couple of weeks my phone has just become problem central. It constantly freezes and doesn't for respond for minutes. Also sometimes the phone screen just goes black for upwards of 5 minutes without responding at all.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Welcome to the forums!

Sounds like your phone is a perfect candidate for a Factory Reset and system cache wipe in Recovery mode.

If you have an SD card present you might try removing that as well.

Sorry for the late reply. Is there anyway to keep all the numbers on my phone when I reset it?

Add them to your Google account instead of on the device. When you reset your phone, your contacts will automatically sync with the phone.
