Ringtones

How can one add ringtones to the S4 library for messages? I have downloaded ringtones to the S4 but I cannot add these ringtones for use on messages; only phone calls. I'm currently stuck using the S4 stock ringtones for emails and SMS.

Good question, I just got my S4 32GB today and haven't had much time to play with it or root yet. I would think that adding them to the system area where the other sounds are maybe would work, but I am not sure.

Haha, yes. I just finished this myself. Simply get your ringtone in the file type you want (I used MP3 and WMA), plug your Galaxy into the computer, open it up and browse the folders. There are "notifications" and a "ringtones" folders. Just paste the sound into the appropriate folder and you're done. Now go to Settings>My Device>Sound>Notifications and select your desired tone. If you need any help feel free to let me know, and I can go into more depth!

Thanks very much....this worked like a charm. Now I have my BB6 ringtones which I have been trained to respond to over the years loaded
