Problems with AC charging on s4

I just got my s4 a couple days ago and I notice that whenever I use the wall charger/adapter and USB cable provided in the box, my phone says that it is charging via USB charging as opposed to AC charging. Under this setting it takes my phone over 5 hours to charge fully and I feel like something must be wrong. Any suggestions as to what to do?

Five hours is too long. Even my Razr Maxx with its 3,300 mAh battery charges from dead in about three hours.

Yup, thats a known bug. My only suggestion is to not let the battery get much below 10%. Also, just unplug and replug till you get it to say AC. That will cut charging time by about 3 hours.

5 hours is twice as long as normal.

With my OEM charger, my S4 is taking about 9 hours to charge from 5-10% back to 100%.

Is this a defect with my device, the charger, or something else?

unplug and replug the charger until it says AC rather than USB really did work on my S4. i did it in one try thou
