Scratches surrounding camera?

I haven't even had this phone 24 hours. I played with the S4 after activating it last night around 6-7 pm, put it down on my countertop for the night (I don't think it was slid around on there unless someone else did it), grabbed it this morning and noticed theres scratches around where the camera is. I know there's likely a plastic film over it, from what I've read, but this seems ridicuous. The camera is the most important part of the phone to me, has anyone scratched theirs already? I'm quite nervous about it now going forward. I realize I could get a case, but I don't think I should have to to avoid something like this.

There is plastic on it. I thought the same thing, that it was scratched. Once the film is off its beautiful and no scratches really get your nail under it to peel it off lol, I had a bit of difficulty (pathetic I know lol)
