My my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone kept popping up with "android.process.acore has stopped working." I finally had to do a factory reset! Anyone know the possible causes? At one point I had to back up my contacts, delete them, uninstall Facebook, reboot, reinstall everything.... blah, blah, blah. It fixed the problem for a while but then it happened again! How on earth do I avoid this happening again? I lost a lot of valuable information! Kinda freaked out here and a little scared of screwing things up again... Lol! Anyone else ever fixed this problem?

I think acore is associated with "go" apps (launcher, widgets) and remains even after they are removed.

I started getting that message after I briefly installed then uninstalled go weather widget. I forgot how I finally got rid of the message....it's been awhile.

First BBMJACK is correct, there was no need for a factory reset. In between pop ups you can navigate to settings > applications and do as he said. Clear data.
There are MANY reasons this happens. One i have personally found is disabling certain apps I don't use. Some don't like it! :)
