Not getting Spam mail on samsung s5

I have a Samsung s5 and I am not able to get my spam aka junk mail, I see the folder but when I click on it i get a messaging saying that i may have emails that have not yet been retrieved from the server, although i can get them from my laptop. How do I fix this. Please help

Sounds like a server issue. Try a different email app and if you get the same problem, it's not in the phone.

I downloaded the yahoo app and can get the sPam on it.
