Forced Factory Reset

Hi all,
I was using the fingerprint security feature and last night I guess my finger print changed and thus I needed to enter the back up password. Apparently, I also forgot the password (I don't think so but my phone does so....). So I lost EVERYTHING, yes I am [language redacted by Mod]. Here is the major thing right now bothering me:

My notification bar comes and goes, how can I fix that please.

Sorry to hear that! What do you mean by the notification bar coming and going? The status bar actually disappears sometimes? Can you swipe the notification panel down when that happens?

Thanks, it sucks.....is there any way to avoid losing everything IF it ever happens again.

Yes the status bar actually disappears at times. I can pull it down to make it appear but only for a few seconds.

Interesting--this happens occasionally on my Zenfone 2 as well, but it can't be the same issue, since they're two different launchers.

Try wiping the system cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404

What launcher are you using? Is that TouchWiz, or an alternative launcher?

Got it had to do a how notification bar in look and feel settings of Nova launcher. ... Thought I checked that.

Hmm you do know that you can bypass the password with find my mobile right?you could save all those troubles.

I did not know that. I wish I did, I lost tons of pictures of my grandson. Can you tell me more about it?
