S5 won't charge

I recently acquired a second Galaxy S5, it was highly damaged. It looked like somebody ran over it with their car. After replacing the rear cover, rear camera, usb charger port, mid plate, mid frame & lcd display assembly.. it miracously powered up. The only components I kept from the original phone was the front camera and main logic board. Everything seems to be working except it doesn't charge when connected to a micro or the original S5 charging cable. What am I missing?
