Random whistle

Hi all, recently bought my Galaxy S5 (16Gb) At random times through he day it "whistles" for no apparent reason. No message, etc. It woke me at 3am this morning..! I spent over an hour on the Samsung site yesterday using their live chat function. Spoke to two "experts" who assured me it would not happen again...LOL
I cannot find why it's doing this and it's very annoying.
Any ideas...?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums SX2002!

Try running your phone in Safe Mode, see #1.4 of S5 Update Problems - Dummies Guide, for a few hours or overnight and see if the, "whistle", persists. If not, it will be down to one of your user apps or settings. It should help narrow things down for you.

holding down the power off button does not bring up the option to enter Safe Mode...?

Set it in safe mode the other way, I'll see what happens...

Power off then Power on then hold just the Volume Down key.

Your last post doesn't mention the Volume Down key, hence my reply.
