Wife has an S5 I have iPhone 6s. She CANNOT get messages from Me or our daughters iPhone either if they are longer than 46 characters. It doesn't matter if I turn off iMessage or not. And this has persisted since my older phone which was an iPhone 5s.

It is abviously the galaxy but we cannot figure it out. She has updated, rebooted, turned on and off settings, reset networks etc. nothing fixes this.

It used to do the thing where it would split longer messages into several parts. But now it just straight up won't receive the message. But if we use chat apps like whatsapp or Line, I can type to my hearts content whoever long I want and she will get it.

So it's to do with the standard messenger app. Anyone have a clue?

Did your wife ever have an iPhone? If so, have her contact Apple Support to confirm that her iMessage account has been disabled, and the phone number removed from their server. It doesn't matter if you as the current iPhone user turns off iMessage -- it's more important for her to deactivate her iMessage account completely.
