Long text messages being cut off by receiver since upgrading

I've been told that my text messages are being cut off by people receiving them if the message is a long message. This has started since upgrading my phone to the Edge+. Is there a setting now that I'm missing? I'm using the stock messaging client. I'm using AT&T. When I send a message now, it says "Text message" with the time after sending each message.
