Why did my app manager's Disable button disable on my S6?

Why app manager's "Disable" button is disabled in S6

I need to disable the SIM Toolkit application that installs automatically when I insert the SIM, but the "disable" button that is mostly unavailable for most applications.

I had before a Galaxy S3 that I rooted for this very purpose but this time I don't want to root the new phone.

What can I do to prevent this particular app from running?

Welcome to Android Central! Only preinstalled apps can be disabled. Apps that are installed later can only be uninstalled. You could try Greenify to hibernate the app.

Yes I did try that app since I had it in my S3, but in the S6 the SIM Toolkit app does not appear in application in the list. It looks like there's no other choice but to root the damn phone...
