My Galaxy S6 volume turns down by itself

When using my headphones (just a cheap set of headphones from the dollar store) they do have a button on the side that's for Mic but its never worked right it only pauses songs but when listening to music all of a sudden my phone takes over. my volume turns down my ringtone turns down my screen goes to Google voice but it only seems to happen when I have my headphones plugged in how do I stop this?

Welcome back! Not all headphones are completely compatible with all devices. There may be something about your headphones' plug configuration that is causing intermittent false volume control signals to the phone. Try a different pair of headphones.

I've had the exact same thing happen, even with Samsung earbuds. The volume goes up and down, and the OS goes to the "OK Google" launch. Only with 3.5mm connected. Everytime in workout it happens at some point.

Try testing it without headphones and just the speaker.. If this is still an issue, look into Samsung S6 audio fixes.
