I have a Galaxy S7 on Verizon fresh out of the box. I get an error stating "Unfortunately, com.samsung.faceservice has stopped" randomly and intermittently. I cleared all cache and did a soft reset and it still comes back. Not linked to any particular app or process that I can pinpoint. Called Samsung but they were no help. Any ideas?

I Had a similar issue from an app moved to the SD card. Did you move any apps to the SD card? Just a thought.

I guess this works, but don't you want the screen to turn on when you look at it? My wife's gold version s7 never has this error. We got them the same day.

Hi,

I have a Galaxy S7 Edge Indian version and also have the same issue after importing data from my old Galaxy S5. I have managed to solve the issue with following steps. Please try the same and let me know if it helps…

Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down or search for Application. Open the Application.
Step 3: Now open Application Manager.
Step 4: There you’ll see all your installed apps, Tap on Camera.
Step 5: Now all you have to do tap on Clear Cache and Clear data.
Step 7: Head back to previous screen and select Gallery.
Step 8: Tap on Clear Cache and Clear data
Step 9: Now go to home screen and restart your device.

Thanks & Regards,
Ankur… J
