I feel like they have started to build a new brand around the DTEK monikers. I think they will stick with that to avoid any confusion that it is a new BlackBerry Mobile device. My thoughts are that it will be launched as the DTEK 70.

If the rumors are true and the device ships with an SD slot the 32GB storage becomes much less of a problem. I currently have a 32GB Nexus 6P running Nougat and have only used half of the available storage. I really don't think it's going to be a deal breaker for that many people. Have to wait...

Had my 6P over a year, sometimes with a case, sometimes without. I don't really baby my device and I haven't had any quality issues with my device. Still holds its own against the newer flagships.

That's a good point regarding updates, quick updates are only good if they don't negatively affect the device you're installing them on. I guess it comes down to timely security updates as well. Since those seem to be more important. Hopefully more manufacturers get on board with this and...

Try going into settings > sound > other sounds, and toggle on charging sounds. See if that helps

That was one of my concerns as well with upgrading my phone, I want to maintain the timely SW updates. There are plenty of alternatives out there, it's just trying to figure out which ones will be updated and how quickly.

It is only a month in, and it's already looking to be a stellar year for flagships. I'm wondering what devices fellow 6P owners are looking at as a replacement in 2017? What features from the 6P will you miss, and what features would like to see in your next device?

I would probably guess at the buttons being software generated at the bottom as in many current devices. However it would be interesting if they introduced some gesture controls that could be customized.

I would love to see a deep ruby red, I had an old BlackBerry Curve that was a similar colour and I loved it. Red definitely gets noticed!

This happened for me as well. Almost as soon as I got things back up and running after leaving the beta and rolling back to 7.0 there was a notification for an update to 7.1.1

So far, so good. Super smooth, battery life is noticeably improved. No problems downloading OTA or installing. Feels more polished than M.
